About Us

Funders for Palestine seeks to organize the philanthropic sector towards deeper solidarity with the Palestinian struggle, anchored in a wider vision of collective liberation.

In 2021, in response to the designation of six prominent Palestinian human rights groups as so-called “terrorist organizations” by the Israeli government, a loosely coordinated group formed under the banner of Funders4Palestine, whose joint letter was published on a website of the same name.

This effort was reactivated in October 2023, with some organizations from 2021 participating alongside new ones. Since then, F4P has expanded to include hundreds more organizations and individuals in philanthropy, all united in their commitment to stand in solidarity with Palestinians amid profound violence, humanitarian crisis, and unfolding genocide.

F4P currently maintains a global community of over 300 individuals from more than 100 philanthropic institutions.

Our community includes staff and trustees from private foundations, family foundations, and public foundations; staff from individual donor networks and other philanthropic service organizations; individual donors and trustees; and donor advisors and other consultants working in the philanthropic sector.

The F4P steering committee works with the broader F4P community to:

  • Build visible and material support for Palestinian liberation through narrative and organizing strategies that deepen accountability and solidarity among progressive and social justice funders;

  • Strategically facilitate moving more money to Palestinian liberation directly and through trusted intermediaries; and

  • Build a politically aligned community through connection, education, and information-sharing.
